The community is invited to participate in the Oklahoma School for the Deaf’s annual Fall Festival on Tuesday, October 30, featuring free trick-or-treating, hayrides and other seasonal activities.
OSD’s Little Village, located on the east side of campus at 1100 East Oklahoma Avenue in Sulphur, will be the setting for trick-or-treating from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This permanent learning experience has 12 structures, including a school, store, bank and chicken coop with a rooster and hens.
“We are proud for members of the community to visit OSD’s Little Village and grateful to local businesses who have supported the building, repair and expansion of this interactive educational experience,” Superintendent Larry Hawkins said. “Our goal is to combine play with opportunities for students learn more about business, government and society.
Students and staff will decorate the courtyards in front of each building.
Carnival games and concessions will be available from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a Spook House for the bravest among the crowd from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. OSD organizations will charge reasonable fees for these activities to help fund their programs.
